The side has a new Coach, as Mihajlovic took over from Pippo Inzaghi.

“Mihajlovic made a good impression on me and we chatted for a few minutes. He is very determined and I hope he can get us on the right track straight away.

“He is a Coach who focuses on young players and has clear ideas. We spoke about tactics too, such as the 4-3-1-2 I played in as a trequartista or second striker at Padova.

“I think last season the problem was in our mentality, as we just had the wrong approach. This squad has a lot of character and in some occasions we could’ve done more.”

There are also strong reports that Milan will sign Roma midfielder Bertolacci for €20m, as he’s set to undergo a medical on Monday.

“I got to know him on international duty and he has great quality, so can give us a big hand. He’s really talented.”
