Stephan El Shaarawy’s move to Monaco looks a done deal for €17m, but more details are emerging on Milan terms.

The story exploded late Friday night and very quickly went from rumoured interest to a basic agreement for all involved.

The Little Pharaoh is expected to whittle down the final details of personal terms today and undergo his medical on Sunday or Monday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Monaco will initially take El Shaarawy on loan at a cost of €2m with an option to buy worth €15m.

However, that option would become mandatory the moment he makes his 15th appearance for the club.

As for the player, he’ll receive a five-year contract worth €3m net per season.

It’s reported the deal was struck in Ibiza by Adriano Galliani, Manuel El Shaarawy and intermediary Federico Pastorello.

El Shaarawy left the Milan training camp after lunch to join his brother and Pastorello in Monte Carlo for the final talks.

While this transfer has taken many by surprise, it is rumoured the striker was already very close to joining AS Monaco in January.

The move collapsed because he picked up another serious injury.
