Stephan El Shaarawy has officially extended his contract with Milan until June 30, 2017.

The Under-21 international with an Italian mother and Egyptian father put pen to paper at the club headquarters this afternoon.

He was signed in a co-ownership deal with Genoa, but the Rossoneri bought out the remaining 50 per cent of his contract this summer.

It is believed overall the operation cost Milan in the region of €20m.

The second striker turns 20 in October and scored two goals in 22 Serie A games for Milan last season.
