Sampdoria midfielder Albin Ekdal believes Milan are “the most natural destination” for his ex-Sweden teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic is set to leave LA Galaxy when his contract expires next month, and a return to Milan has been mooted for the 38-year-old striker.

“Every day the newspapers are writing something about Ibrahimovic. It’s normal that he’s hot news,” Ekdal said at a Press conference.

“I hope there’s some truth to this, as you can never know what decision Zlatan will make.

“Milan seem like the most natural destination; I can’t really see him at Bologna. If I have to bet, I would say Milan.”

The former Cagliari and Juventus man is preparing for a decisive Euro 2020 qualifier with Romania this evening.

If Sweden win in Bucharest, they will qualify for the finals next summer.
