Eusebio Di Francesco warned Sassuolo fans are getting ahead of themselves for tomorrow’s rescheduled Torino game.

It was called off due to heavy fog at the Mapei Stadium on December 12 and will kick off on Wednesday at 19.45 GMT.

“Our performance against Napoli was good in terms of approach, mentality and the desire to play our football at the top level,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“It’s a shame we went into the break a goal down, because we didn’t deserve that and paid the price for naivety. You live and learn from these things and the lads are really maturing this season.”

Simone Missiroli went off injured and is unavailable for tomorrow’s Serie A Week 16 match, but Domenico Berardi and Paolo Cannavaro return from suspension.

“We are accustomed to playing the same way at home or on our travels and these performances must help build our self-belief.

“Torino are a very experienced side accustomed to being higher up the table than they are now. They got the best striker on the market, Ciro Immobile, and now have an added bonus.”

If Sassuolo win tomorrow, they will be just one point shy of Roma.

“We have to remember that we are still trying first and foremost to secure our Serie A safety. Nobody really talks about that in the media or the stands, but I do all the time.

“So far we have gone beyond expectations, but have to take it one game at a time. We want to beat Torino, who remain a dangerous side.

“The club made specific choices in the transfer market to go for young players who are hungry and want to show what they can do. It’s not easy in Italy, where often we try to rush their development.”

Sassuolo squad for Torino: Pomini, Consigli, Pegolo; Longhi, Antei, Vrsaljko, Peluso, Acerbi, Ariaudo, Fontanesi, Gazzola, Cannavaro; Magnanelli, Pellegrini, Biondini, Laribi, Duncan; Falcinelli, Politano, Sansone, Pierini, Berardi, Defrel
