Eusebio Di Francesco will “keep fighting and look for solutions” as his job at Roma comes under increasing pressure.
The Giallorossi blew a two goal lead against nine-man Cagliari at the weekend, and there is speculation the Coach will be replaced if results don’t improve quickly.
“I don’t have much to say,” Di Francesco said in his Press conference ahead of the Viktoria Plzen match.
“If I’m here it’s because others are aware that there’s a Coach with his ideas and his thinking.

“I don’t have much to say,” Di Francesco said in his Press conference ahead of the Viktoria Plzen match.
“If I’m here it’s because others are aware that there’s a Coach with his ideas and his thinking.
“Right now things aren’t going well, but there’s the desire to continue, I believe in my work but we need to change course.
“The ritiro is necessary to understand the reasons, I want to keep fighting and look for solutions.
“I know this place, I know that a Coach can go from the stars to being the worst out there. I want to turn the team around, as far as I’m concerned you can tell me many things, but for my part I don’t have the desire to externalise something for someone who doesn’t deserve my words.”
Tomorrow’s match has no bearing on the group, will players be rested ahead of the Genoa game?
“Now isn’t the best time to choose, because I don’t have many alternatives. I have some players who have just come back and don’t have 90 minutes in their legs, so we’ll see a lot of the players who played against Cagliari, and they could play against Genoa too.
“Only [Javier] Pastore could play from the first minute out of those who have recovered. [Diego] Perotti, for example, has had several injuries and it’s impossible for him to play from the first minute.
“[Daniele] De Rossi has started running again and we hope to have him back for Juventus, [Lorenzo] Pellegrini needs a bit more time and [Edin] Dzeko is ahead of [Stephan] El Shaarawy.
“I’ll have to evaluate Pastore between this evening and tomorrow, he’s the only one who could play from the start. In any case, he obviously can’t play 90 minutes.
“Patrik Schick? I expect more from him, as he expects more from himself. It’s up to him to give important answers now.”
Viktoria Plzen Coach Pavel Vrba said he showed his players the Cagliari match…
“If he wanted to give a positive message to the team he’ll have shown them the last 10 minutes. I’ll show the first game [against Plzen].
“I’m joking, of course, but if a Coach showed the last 10 minutes he’d find errors in our mentality and it would create positivity for his team. That’s what I’d do if I were him.”
