“Torino are in fine form and a solid side, but we want to do well, even if my choices are limited,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“We dropped a few points by the wayside, but this has to spur us on to do better. We must be more determined and clinical in attack, so I look forward with optimism.
“I want the side to fight to the end to maintain this position, although we do still believe in the Europa League.”
This week Di Francesco cast aside speculation of interest from the likes of Milan, Fiorentina and even the Italy squad by signing a contract renewal with Sassuolo until 2019.
“The renewal means I believe in the club, in its planning and its professionalism. Plus the fans truly made me feel important to them and that goes beyond the prestige of other clubs.
“Sassuolo want to improve and we all can give more. That doesn’t necessarily mean finishing in the top three or four, but to give consistency to our project and growing young players.”
There are reports of a release clause in Di Francesco’s contract that can be activated at a cost of €3m.
The Neroverdi go into the Torino game without Gregoire Defrel, who had surgery for a fractured nose after the clash with Andrea Ranocchia, Luca Antei, Alessandro Gazzola, Emanuele Terranova, Simone Missiroli, Davide Biondini and Karim Laribi.
