Eusebio Di Francesco says the new Cagliari signing Alfred Duncan is fit and could start against Milan tomorrow and believes the Rossoneri have benefited from playing behind closed doors.
The Rossoblu host the Serie A table leaders at the Sardegna Arena on Monday, they announced the signing of Alfred Duncan from Fiorentina today.
“He trained with the team for the first time today. I know him well, he can play in different positions,” Di Francesco said at a press conference.
“He can start tomorrow, the psychological aspect will be the most important thing," the coach added.
“He is a player I wanted, we can make another signing in January if there will be the possibility. I don’t want to make announces, surely some players will be sold.”
Milan will be without Theo Hernandez and Hakan Calhanoglu who have tested positive for COVID.
“Both teams have many absences, we are preparing the game in the best possible way. We need to use our experience and determination.
“We’ve been training well and I believe we would deserve something more and a different position on the table.
“Milan have made the pitch to the talking and we must do the same. They are young and have probably benefited from playing behind closed doors. We must prevent [Zltan] Ibrahimovic from receiving service as he is surrounded by many young and interesting footballers.”
