Eusebio Di Francesco warned “the Coppa Italia is a very important tournament” for Roma and they won’t underestimate Virtus Entella.

It kicks off on Monday at 20.00 GMT, with the winners going on to face Fiorentina or Torino in the quarter-final.

“The team has been training well and I’m happy with the approach to this game,” the Coach told Roma TV.

“We haven’t been able to call up Stephan El Shaarawy and Kostas Manolas, while Alessandro Florenzi needs to be evaluated. I am yet to decide whether to start Patrik Schick or Edin Dzeko, at the moment it’s 50-50.”

Roma are up against Entella, who have had a chaotic campaign between Serie C and a couple of months stalled awaiting legal action over a possible return to Serie B.

“Entella have the quality to be in Serie B and cannot be underestimated. We are working well with elevated intensity and realise the Coppa Italia is a very important tournament for us.

“I hope to find more consistency in 2019, both in terms of results and performances, as we’ve been lacking that.”
