Eder is 'ready' for Euro 2016 with Italy and isn't bothered by criticism – 'I have Coach Antonio Conte's faith, and that's what matters'.

The 29-year-old earned a call-up after proving to be a prolific striker with Sampdoria, but his career came to a standstill since his winter transfer to Inter.

“The whole group is looking forward to getting started,” Eder told the Press. “We're doing our best to get some playing time, but the choice will come down to the Coach. Whoever plays will put in the maximum effort.

“I enjoy the faith of the most important man, the Coach. I made it into this group because of what I did over the past years, not the last two months.

“I'm calm. I had a bit of lag in training because I haven't been playing for the last one-and-a-half months. But if the Coach asks me to get on the pitch, I'm ready.

“The past is the past. What I can guarantee is that I'll be giving 200 per cent. Of course I can't guarantee the goals themselves, but I'll do everything I can.

“Our first game against Belgium will be important, certainly, but not decisive.”

Finally, the Italo-Brazilian was asked whether he was only compatible with Graziano Pelle when playing up-front.

“I don't think so. I played with Graziano, but in terms of my characteristics as a player, I can partner any of the other strikers in the squad.”
