Il Messaggero reports an important turning point for the Giallorossi and the first steps towards reconciliation.

The newspaper reveals the Bosnian is back in training with the group, after 10 days out, officially due to injury.

This morning, Dzeko trained with the players who didn’t play against Hellas Verona on Sunday, as Chris Smalling went to the Villa Stuart clinic for instrumental examinations on the injury he suffered in the first half of the match.

The report reveals Dzeko could be called up for the big game against the Old Lady on Saturday, but Borja Mayoral is expected to start.

With the transfer market closed, the Bosnia international will be important in the fight for a return to the Champions League.

It would also seem crazy to exclude a player who earns €7.5m a season from the squad and the club would have wanted to see the pair work things out.

An icy front between the captain and the coach could also undermine the harmony in the dressing room.
