Edin Dzeko scored a brace and Nicolò Zaniolo netted a solo goal in Roma‘s 5-2 win over Debrecen.

It was Roma’s fourth summer friendly match after those against Montecatini, Ternana and Triestina.

José Mourinho started Rui Patricio in goal, Reynolds, Ibanez, Kumbulla and the youngster Tripi at the back. Bove and Darboe in centre midfield with Perez, Pellegrini and Zalewski behind the sole striker Borja Mayoral.

A Donat Barany goal gave Debrecen the lead after just four minutes at Frosinone’s Benito Stirpe.

Mayoral levelled the score and Pellegrini gave Roma the lead before the break.

The Giallorossi will now travel to Portugal for the second part of their pre-season.
