Oriana Sabatini, the girlfriend of Roma’s Paulo Dybala, recently sparked outrage among Giallorossi supporters with her comments regarding a potential move to the Premier League to join some of his Argentina teammates.

Sabatini appeared on the Premier League’s ‘Behind The Game’ YouTube show alongside host Ian Wright and compatriot and Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

In a segment of the 20 minute show, Martinez told that he had previously tried to convince a number of his friends from the national team to join him at Villa, a club which he believes is often underestimated in its scale.

Wright had suggested Villa should go after Rodrigo De Paul, a player he described as “awesome”, before Sabatini intervened and said: “No, bring Dybala.”

The former Arsenal striker responded: “We (the Premier League) tried to bring Dybala a few years ago, Manchester United, we couldn’t get him.”

In turn, Sabatini replied: “you haven’t tried hard enough.”

Sabatini’s comments, although light-hearted in nature, have upset a number of Roma fans online, given that La Joya still has over two years on his contract with the Giallorossi, expiring in 2025.
