Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini slapped a €40m price-tag on Paulo Dybala and will keep Franco Vazquez.

The patron spoke to Sky Sport Italia about his young strike duo who are setting Serie A alight this season.

“Vazquez will certainly renew his contract, but I’d have preferred for it to be sorted out six months ago,” said Zamparini.

“As for Dybala, so far offers for him have only come in obliquely, because they know how tough Zamparini can be.

“He is a world class player who is being compared to Javier Pastore, so his price-tag matches the skill: we’re talking €40m and upwards.

“We will sell Makienok, Bamba and others who are simply not playing. Coming in we have four or five negotiations on-going, players who will be part of the future squad.”

The President was also asked about reports Juventus are interested in Vazquez.

“I read that in the papers and called Marotta to ask if he wanted to cause trouble for me, but he was reassuring. I recommended he sign Ilicic, who I consider to be at the same level of Vazquez, but is underrated.”

Ilicic is an ex-Palermo player currently struggling for playing time at Fiorentina.
