Dybala revelation on Cuadrado and Juventus contract

Paulo Dybala reveals Juan Cuadrado scored by accident from a corner, while he admits his Juventus contract will have to wait. ‘The club has more important things to sort out right now.’

The Bianconeri put in a dominant performance with 12 shots on target, scoring with Juan Cuadrado curling in directly from the corner flag and Dybala’s late angled drive.

“I think we dominated the game. Cuadrado’s goal obviously calmed us down a bit, but we should’ve finished it off earlier and brought home the points in a more relaxed fashion,” Dybala told DAZN.

La Jota also revealed something about the Colombian’s ‘Olympic Goal’ directly from the flag.

“He told me it was meant to be a cross!”

Dybala is in fine form at the moment, having also found the net against Salernitana midweek, and seems to be enjoying the new 4-2-3-1 formation.

“You asked me the same question after Verona. I always try to be in good shape, playing every three days it can be difficult to always be at 100 per cent, but I try my best.

“We know what we need to do and must continue along this path, to get as close as possible to the top teams.”

Dybala’s contract is due to expire in June 2022 and he was asked if this could be the right week to sign the extension, but pointed towards the off-the-field issues with an investigation into inflated transfer fees.

“I think the club has other things to sort out right now, so the contract renewal can wait. What’s happening elsewhere is more important.”
