Cristiano Ronaldo, Franck Kessié and Paulo Dybala have entered the final year of their contracts and there are many more international stars who can sign pre-contract agreements with a new club in six months.

This will be a crucial summer for all those players who see their contracts expire in June 2022. And for their clubs too.

In fact, if these players don’t sign a contract extension by December, they will then be free to negotiate with any other club from January 2022 and join them for free at the end of the season.

Kylian Mbappé, Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba and Leon Goretzka are among the most valuable international stars that have entered the last year of their contracts, but there are many other top players in the same situation, especially in Serie A.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala will see their Juventus contracts expire in June 2022.

The club’s Football Director Federico Cherubini revealed on Thursday that CR7 is not planning to leave the club with a year remaining in his contract, while Pavel Nedved confirmed the Bianconeri will resume new contract talks with Dybala as soon as he returns from holidays.

Milan are in talks to extend the contract of Kessié, as they don’t want him to follow Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, who have left the club for free this summer.

Inter must deal with Marcelo Brozovic, Napoli and Roma with their captains Lorenzo Insigne and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Andrea Belotti is another top Serie A star who will see his contract expire in June 2022. Torino are reportedly willing to sell the 27-year-old, but only for €30m.

These, according to Transfermarkt, are the most valuable players who will see their contracts expire in less than one year.
