Paulo Dybala looks reborn at Roma having played consistently and contributing to six goals in eight appearances with the Giallorossi.

La Joya moved to the Stadio Olimpico on a free transfer after his contract with Juventus expired in June. He signed until 2025 with the Giallorossi.

He was unveiled in front of 10,000 fans in August and seems to have matched their expectations thanks to four goals and two assists in eight games across all competitions.

Dybala scored with his first touch after being introduced in last night’s 3-0 win over HJK in Europa League.

“Obviously Dybala scored the first goal and the team had a different attitude. We had the wrong attitude in the first half, acting as if we were 11 against 11,” Mourinho told Sky Sport Italia yesterday.

Contrary to the last few seasons when the Argentinean often had dealt with injuries, this term, he has already played 608 minutes, starting seven games out of eight.

The Argentinean had missed 37 matches due to injuries during his last two seasons at Juventus under Andrea Pirlo and Max Allegri.

Juventus eventually decided against extending his contract at the beginning of the year, letting him walk out of the club as a free agent in June.

His best Serie A season in Turin was in 2017-18, when he scored 22 goals in 33 league games.

Inter had chased La Joya over the summer, but Romelu Lukaku’s return made it unsustainable for the Nerazzurri to sign Dybala, who would have further increased their wage bill.
