Paulo Dybala’s agent had a meeting with Juventus directors today, as they move closer to an agreement over a new contract.

The Argentina international’s current deal expires in June 2022, meaning he is only a few months away from being able to negotiate a free transfer to a different club.

However, Dybala has always resisted attempts to sell him, most notably to Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United last summer, and is determined to remain in Turin.

According to Sky Sport Italia and others, today’s meeting was between agent Jorge Antun, directors Pavel Nedved and Cherubini, along with Dybala’s brand and sponsorship manager Carlos Novel.

The proposal is a new deal to June 2025, with an option to extend until 2026.

Dybala had requested wages of €10m per season, but they seem ready to settle on €8m.

Calciomercato.it, Goal.com and other sources are confident there will be another meeting tomorrow morning with suggestions of a release clause being included, but they are haggling over the exact details.
