Paulo Dybala and Mats Hummels are out of Roma’s Serie A match against Monza, but Nicola Zalewski returns after his failed transfer to Galatasaray.

It kicks off on Sunday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT) at the U-Power Stadium.

The Giallorossi have already been without Enzo Le Fée and Alexis Saelemaekers for several weeks, but the injury list grew more substantial for coach Ivan Juric following the 1-0 Europa League defeat to Elfsborg on Thursday.

Star man Dybala sustained a muscular problem during training and has been rested to avoid aggravating the situation.

Defender Hummels is not making the trip to Monza either, as he has come down with flu symptoms and a high fever, so is at home in bed.

However, there is the return to the squad list of Zalewski for the first time since his transfer to Galatasaray collapsed last month.

The clubs had already agreed the sale when the player turned it down, so he was frozen out of the team, because his contract only runs to the end of the season.

Although the Poland international has not yet signed a new deal, the negotiations have been progressing well and this is seen as a gesture of reconciliation before he does put pen to paper.
