Roma star Paulo Dybala underwent an MRI scan today, and according to Sky Sport Italia, he still has a chance to play at the World Cup.

The Argentinean striker underwent an MRI scan today, which confirmed a lesion to his rectus femoris injury.

Sky Sport correspondent Angelo Mangiante claims that La Joya will remain out of action for four to six weeks but still has a chance to be involved in the World Cup.

Qatar 2022 kicks off on November 20, so on paper, Dybala still has a chance to make it into the Argentinean squad, but only if his recovery time won’t be longer than a month.

As per Il Corriere Dello Sport, the Argentinean star will undergo a new medical examination next week and has already started his recovery program.

The ex-Juventus striker got injured during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Lecce at the Stadio Olimpico while converting the decisive penalty kick that helped Roma earn all three points against the Serie A strugglers.

Dybala won’t be available for Roma again in 2022, as José Mourinho said on Sunday after the final whistle.

The 28-year-old is Roma’s best scorer this season with seven goals in 11 appearances across all competitions.
