Tonight’s Derby d’Italia will be the strangest yet for Paulo Dybala, who is heavily linked with a move to Inter in the summer.

The 28-year-old Argentinian forward has taken part in 10 derbies between the Nerazzurri and Juventus during his time in Turin, winning all but one of these matches. He has scored in his last three consecutive Derby d’Italia clashes but none of them had such a strange atmosphere surrounding him heading into the game.

Dybala’s contract will not be renewed with Juventus, so he’ll leave the club on a free transfer at the end of June. One of the clubs most interested in picking him up is Inter and CEO Beppe Marotta has already opened talks.

This sets up an incredibly unusual situation for Dybala ahead of tonight’s derby; on one hand, he wants to close out his seven years with Juventus in style during one of their biggest games, but on the other hand he risks upsetting his possible new club’s Scudetto hopes.

The Argentinian forward is a professional and will undoubtedly try his best in tonight’s derby, as it also gives him an opportunity to further display his quality right in front of the Nerazzurri’s watchful eyes.
