Paulo Dybala doesn’t think Juventus should see the Champions League as a dream – “let’s talk about objectives”.

The Bianconeri have won Serie A for the past five years in a row, but have so far been unable to add a third Champions League to their trophy cabinet.

“I don’t like to talk about a dream, because in a dream you wake up and it’s all over,” Dybala explained to Corriere dello Sport.

“Let’s talk about objectives. Ours are to get to Cardiff and to try and become legends with a sixth-consecutive Scudetto.

“There are a lot of rivals, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City. It’ll be tough, but we’re there.”

Despite aiming for such lofty goals, Juve have been criticised at times this season for their style of play…

“We’re top of Serie A and we finished top of our Champions League group, what more could we do?

“Of course we haven’t played perfectly, but we need patience because there have been a lot of changes.

“Fortunately we have a very good Coach [Max Allegri] to integrate the new faces into the group.

"There's a very good relationship with him, he talks to us and makes us feel good. Since I've been here he's helped me and given me valuable advice."

Another who has come in for criticism is Dybala’s compatriot, Gonzalo Higuain, despite 12 goals already this season.

“Being criticised is the fate of the strongest players,” Dybala shrugged.

“It has even happened to [Lionel] Messi. We can’t ask for any more from him, he’s scoring important goals and he always tries to help the team.

“He’s happy to be at Juventus, I watch him a lot and I try to learn from him. We hang out off the pitch, we often go to dinner together.

“It’s not just him, we’re a good group and you can see that. Mario [Mandzukic] is as important as Gonzalo.

“Could we all play together? We tested it in a friendly with Espanyol, and for a few minutes with Dinamo Zagreb.

“I think given our features we can do it, even in a game which is in progress.”
