Tuttosport and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Paulo Dybala is trying to persuade Federico Chiesa to join him at Roma while the Giallorossi prepare an opening offer after meeting the winger’s agent.
Juventus are ready to sell Italy international Chiesa after failing to reach an agreement to extend his stay at the club beyond 2025.
All Italian sports papers reported on Friday that Chiesa’s price tag has dropped to around €25m-30m. According to Gazzetta and Tuttosport, even Dybala has called his ex-Juventus teammate to convince him to move to the capital.
According to Tuttosport, on page four, La Joya told Chiesa ‘we’ll have fun’ while the winger’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has met the Giallorossi at least twice.
Dybala calls Chiesa as Roma prepare opening offer for Juventus
Juventus are ready to listen to offers for Chiesa, aiming to boost their transfer budget and use the incomes to sign Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners.
It remains to be seen if Chiesa will accept the same salary he currently earns at Juventus, circa €6m per season, or whether he’ll ask for more, which would be an issue for Roma.
However, all sports papers insist Chiesa is tempted to join Daniele De Rossi’s side, so the Giallorossi are expected to make an opening bid in the coming weeks.
