Paulo Dybala is back in the Juventus squad to face Inter on Sunday evening, but Moise Kean and Adrien Rabiot are ruled out.

It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

Max Allegri has mixed news from the medical staff ahead of this Serie A showdown in Milan.

Dybala is back in the squad several weeks after a thigh strain, but Kean pulls out with a muscular issue.

Rabiot has recovered after picking up COVID-19 while on international duty, but he is not yet well enough to be in the group.

There are reports Allegri will opt for a 3-5-2 formation, which would effectively mirror the tactics used by Inter boss Simone Inzaghi.

Giorgio Chiellini can step in for Matthijs de Ligt for a more experienced defensive partnership, with Federico Chiesa or Dejan Kulusevski supporting Alvaro Morata.

Juventus squad for Inter: Szczesny, Pinsoglio, Perin; De Sciglio, Chiellini, De Ligt, Danilo, Cuadrado, Alex Sandro, Pellegrini, Bonucci, Rugani; Arthur, Ramsey, McKennie, Bernardeschi, Chiesa, Locatelli, Bentancur, Kulusevski; Morata, Dybala, Kaio Jorge

  1. Muscular issues are a very common problem at Juventus. I think either the doctors don’t know what they are doing or they over train. Its something wrong at Juve.

  2. when I look at the strikers list, I wonder how Max managed to win games with no Dybala or Morata. Juve need a striker of the Haaland/Lewandovski caliber. No joke, how do you expect goals when you don’t have a bombardier-like goal machine?

  3. Giovanni, I’ve been asking myself the same question – why do Juve cop so many muscular injuries. Is it workload, not catering to individual player’s needs (as Ramsay has stated often), is it the training/playing ground surface, incompetent physios? Whatever it is, it needs to be addressed as much as anything else at Juve because it can cost points in the Serie A and progression in the UCL.
