Paulo Dybala reveals there will be a new meeting between his agent and Juventus this week to discuss his contract extension.

The two parties are in talks over a new deal for the Argentinean striker who netted his second goal of the season against Malmoe tonight.

Dybala’s €7m-a-year contract expires at the end of the season and Vice President Pavel Nedved reiterated before tonight’s game that Dybala is at the centre of Juventus’ project.

Dybala: ‘Juventus knew what we had to do’

“I always try to give my all. The parties are talking, we are all on the same page and hope to reach a happy conclusion,” Dybala said in a post-match interview to SportMediaset.

According to multiple reports in Italy, Dybala wants a new €12m-a-year contract, basically the same salary as Matthijs de Ligt, who is Juventus’ highest earner after Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United.ù

During another interview on Sky Sport Italia, the Argentinean shared one more detail about negotiations with the Bianconeri.

“I think there will be a new meeting this week. The directors have changed, so we’ve started from the beginning,” he said.

Nedved: ‘Juventus will compete for Champions League’

“We hope to reach a happy conclusion, I hope there will be good news soon.”

Dybala joined Juventus in a €40m deal from Palermo in 2015.

The Argentinean has scored 102 goals in 256 appearances and has two goals in three appearances so far this season.
