Two days on from Roma’s stalemate with Milan at the Stadio Olimpico, Jose Mourinho is still unable to call upon two key members of his Giallorossi squad.

Despite being named on the substitutes bench against Milan, Paulo Dybala trained individually from the rest of the Roma squad on Monday morning.

La Joya is still struggling with a sore ankle according to La Gazzetta dello Sport and alo has complained of a slight issue with his adductor.

With less than 48 hours to go until Roma travel to Monza on Wednesday, there is still apparently a possibility that Dybala could be involved, even among the starters, but Mourinho and the Roma medical staff will make further assessments of Dybala’s condition on Tuesday morning.

If he is not deemed to be fit enough for the clash against Raffaele Palladino’s side, then Saturday’s fixture against Inter in the capital could be the targeted return date.

It’s also a similar situation for Georginio Wijnaldum, who has also trained separately from the rest of the Roma squad in the early stages of this week.

However, there is less of a chance that the Dutchman will be available for Roma’s upcoming matches this week, instead looking at the Europa League semi-final first leg against Bayer Leverkusen next Thursday to return to action.

The former Liverpool midfielder is still struggling with a flexor injury and will continue to be monitored by medical staff in the coming days.

The Gazzetta report also mentions that Andrea Belotti has picked up a fractured rib cartilage injury during the 1-1 with Milan and will likely be ruled out until the Europa League tie next week.
