Duvan Zapata has become the first Atalanta player to score four goals in a single Serie A game since 1952.

The Colombia international was unstoppable at the Stadio Benito Stirpe in this afternoon’s 5-0 victory over Frosinone.

Gianluca Mancini opened the scoring with a header, before Zapata went on to net the next four.

Only two other Atalanta players had achieved this feat and they both did it in 1952.

Hasse Jeppson scored four in a 7-1 home win over Triestina on June 8, 1952.

Curiously, the other to manage a poker was also against Triestina, this time Poul Rasmussen in a 5-2 victory on November 2, 1952.
