Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering Sampdoria striker Duvan Zapata as a replacement for Arsenal-bound Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon striker has been dropped from the squad due to disciplinary issues and put on the market, where he is expected to join Arsenal next week.

According to Sky Sport Italia, this could set off a chain reaction of moves among forwards, including Serie A teams.

If Aubameyang is sold, then Duvan Zapata is one of the prime candidates and initial talks have already begun via intermediaries, it’s reported.

Borussia Dortmund had already been linked with the Colombia international in 2013 and he has since played for Napoli, Udinese and Sampdoria.

If Duvan Zapata leaves the Blucerchiati, then they’ll try to replace him with Inter benchwarmer Eder.

It would be a return to Marassi for Eder, who left Samp for Inter in January 2016, but rarely gets much playing time.
