Duvan Zapata’s agent insists ‘there have been no offers’ for the Atalanta striker, even though ‘obviously he’d be interested’ if Inter stepped up.

The Colombia international is considered the main target to replace Romelu Lukaku, who completed his transfer to Chelsea for €115m today.

Edin Dzeko has already been brought in from Roma for free, payment only of under €2m in bonuses for Champions League qualification.

“At the moment, there have been no offers. Not even Inter presented an offer for Duvan,” agent Fernando Schena told FCInter1908.

“Obviously, Zapata would be interested in the Inter option, but there’s nothing for now.”

There have been reports in Sky Sport Italia that Inter are offering €40m, whereas the asking price is closer to €50m.

Duvan Zapata is 30 years old and under contract with Atalanta until June 2023.

He scored 19 goals and provided 14 assists in 49 competitive games last season between Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia for La Dea.

Atletico Madrid had also shown an interest, while Zapata has four goals in 23 senior caps for Colombia.
