Both Stephan El Shaarawy and Justin Kluivert could return to Roma in January, but the Dutch winger would once again leave the Capital on loan, reports in Italy claim.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian winger is seeking return to his former club.

El Shaarawy came close to returning to the Stadio OIimpico in October, but his move to the club from Shanghai Shenhua collapsed on the deadline day.

The 28-year-old has 40 goals in 139 appearances with the Giallorossi where he had been playing between 2016 and 2019.

“El Sha” is not the only player who could make return to the Capital in the winter transfer window.

According to Il Tempo, Justin Kluivert could also end his loan spell at RB Leipzig to make an eary return to Roma in January.

Kluivert has 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season and has only started one official game under Julian Nagelsmann.

The former Ajax man joined the Bundesliga giants on loan last summer and in case he returns to Roma, the Giallorossi will be looking for a new destination for the Dutch winger who would once again leave the club on loan.
