Denzel Dumfries has begun his medical in Milan after Inter agreed a transfer from PSV Eindhoven for €12m plus bonuses.
The right-back flew in last night at Linate Airport, where he told reporters he was “very happy, ready and hungry” for this new challenge.
The deal was struck for €12m plus another €2.5m in add-ons, as Dumfries had long promised himself to the Nerazzurri, turning down all other offers.
He is the natural heir to Achraf Hakimi, who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, and is the first investment with the money used from Romelu Lukaku’s €115m sale to Chelsea.
