Lille do not want to give any discounts on Napoli and Lazio target Reinildo Mandava but the two clubs are still keen.

Both clubs are looking to sign a new left back in this month’s transfer window and have been interested in the 27-year-old Mozambican for some time now, but it may not be easy to secure the player’s signature.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lille want around €7-8m for Mandava, whose contract expires with the Ligue 1 side at the end of this season. Neither Italian club are interested in spending such a sum on someone who can be signed on a free transfer in only six months.

Things could change as this month develops, however. Lille are not keen on losing Mandava on a free transfer and so may be willing to offer a slight discount, which is why both Lazio and Napoli are still paying close attention to the 27-year-old.

The Mozambican left back would be an important signing for both Maurizio Sarri and Luciano Spalletti, with both coaches having issues with their left back position. For the Partenopei, they only have Mario Rui in the role, with Faouzi Ghoulam out of action.

The Biancocelesti, on the other hand, do not have a starting left back, which has forced Sarri to use Elseid Hysaj and Adam Marusic in the position.
