The Ivorian striker is out of contract next month when his deal with Galatasaray expires, and has indicated that he is looking for a new challenge and the prospect of playing in Europe’s premier club competition.
“I want to play for a competitive team,” he told Surface during the Ivory Coast’s pre-World Cup training camp.
“And I also want to play in the Champions League.
“Galatasaray? They will always remain in my heart. I am proud to have represented that club.”
Chelsea are also thought to be keeping tabs on the goalscorer’s situation.
