Zenit St Petersburg striker Sebastian Driussi rejected a move to Sampdoria in part because his wife is expecting, said his agent.
Sportitalia claim the Argentine hitman had several reasons for turning down the possible transfer, including personal situations.
“Don’t believe the rumours in the media, I don’t know anything about a transfer,” agent Marcelo Simonian told championat.ru.
“Driussi is a Zenit player and nothing has changed. Besides, his wife is pregnant and right now he wants to stay in St Petersburg.”

His wife is heavily pregnant and he didn’t want to make her move country for a second year running.
The 22-year-old only moved from River Plate to Zenit for €15m in July 2017 and the Russian season has already started.
Last term, he scored six goals with six assists in 40 competitive appearances for Zenit under Italian Coach Roberto Mancini.
With Driussi’s refusal, Sampdoria have turned their attention towards Chelsea and England Under-21 international striker Tammy Abraham.
