The fixture is at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin, so PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma will not receive the same jeers he did from Milan supporters at San Siro during the 2-1 semi-final defeat to Spain.

Leonardo Bonucci is suspended, Giorgio Chiellini, Jorginho and Marco Verratti among those rested, so the player with the most caps in the starting XI today is Donnarumma.

This will be his 38th senior appearance for the Nazionale, having made his debut in September 2016.

He therefore wears the captain’s armband and at the age of 22 years, seven months and 15 days, becomes the youngest Italy captain since 1965.

On April 18, 1965, Gianni Rivera captained the Azzurri aged 21 years and eight months.

The youngest ever Italy captain was Bruno Nicolé, who was 21 years and 61 days old during Italy vs. Northern Ireland in April 1961.
