Gigio Donnarumma insists he wants to stay at PSG and try to win the Champions League in 2022-23.
Mauricio Pochettino had suggested that he would no longer rotate his goalkeepers next season, while Keylor Navas said things must change ‘one way or another’, hinting that he or Donnarumma would leave the club in the summer.
However, the Italy international seems to have clear ideas about his future at the club.
“I will stay at PSG and try to win the Champions League,” the 23-year-old told Sky Sport Italia after winning the Ligue 1.
“It was a great satisfaction. I’ve settled in my first season here and I am pleased with how it’s gone. We are sorry for the disappointment in the Champions League, but we’ll try to make up for it.”

PSG fans booed the team and left the stadium earlier in the decisive match against Lens yesterday, highlighting their disappointment with the European campaign that ended in the Round of 16.
“We are sorry about it, but we understand them,” said Donnarumma.
“We also wanted to do well in Europe, we suffered inside the dressing room after the elimination. We’ll try to win the Champions League in the future.”
Donnarumma has played 22 games across all competitions this season, two less than his teammate Keylor Navas. He has conceded 20 goals, keeping eight clean sheets.
He was among the responsible for PSG’s Champions League exit due to a wrong pass that sparked Madrid’s comeback in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at the Bernabeu. Gigio’s contract in Paris expires in June 2026.
