Gianluigi Donnarumma shrugged off the abuse from Milan supporters in Paris with an Instagram post that just sparked even more insults.

The goalkeeper faced his former team for the first time in last night’s Champions League group game at the Parc des Prince.

Even an hour before kick-off, the visiting ultras were already hurling insults at Donnarumma, which only intensified in the warm-up and during the match itself.

PSG won the match 3-0 and Donnarumma completely ignored the abuse in his comment on Instagram.

“Great win for the boys and an important three points in the Champions League in front of an amazing atmosphere,” he wrote in English.

The international then added another message in Italian.

“It is always wonderful to see my friends from Milano!”

This inevitably sparked a new series of insults on the comments promising a fiery atmosphere for the ‘traitor’ when he plays at San Siro on November 7.

It also saw him receive many supportive comments from fans of other Italian clubs, who feel Donnarumma was ‘mocking’ the Milan boo boys with his jolly salute.

Coach Stefano Pioli and his former teammates have all assured they hold no ill will towards Donnarumma, who left for PSG as a free agent in the summer of 2021.

  1. Donnarumma with an imperious performance whilst maignan spent most of the game flapping and punching at simple crosses and pushing shots back into the line of fire.

  2. It’s stupid to call him a traitor because he didn’t leave for a rival club… Following that logic, any footballer is a traitor after changing clubs once…
