Donnarumma plays down tensions with Keylor Navas and aims dig at Milan

PSG and Italy star Gigio Donnarumma insists he is on good terms with Keylor Navas but admits there’s more pressure in Paris than in Milan.

The 22-year-old joined the Ligue 1 giants on a free transfer from the Rossoneri in the summer after being named Player Of The Tournament at UEFA Euro 2020. Donnarumma signed a contract until 2026 at the Parc des Princes.

However, Donnarumma is not a regular starter in Paris as coach Mauricio Pochettino often rotates him and Keylor Navas.

Donnarumma has played 11 games across all competitions so far, making his Champions League debut against Manchester City in September.

Keylor Navas has played 16 games: 11 in the Ligue 1 and three in the Champions League.

L’Equipe reported at the end of the December that there is tension inside the PSG dressing room because of the competition between the two goalkeepers, but Donnarumma has denied such claims.

“Competition is normal and Keylor is a friend of mine,” the Italy international said in an interview with France TV, as quoted by SportMediaset.

“Here in Paris, there is more pressure than at Milan, I am in a club that wants to win everything.

“This is just the beginning, my ambitions don’t change: win, win and win.”

Donnarumma made his Milan debut aged 16 in October 2015 and played 251 games in a Rossoneri shirt.
