Gianluigi Donnarumma and Leo Messi have returned to training for PSG and the hug between them has gone viral on social media.

PSG stars have returned to training this week and the Italy international seemed delighted to reunite with the Argentinean star. The last time they met was during the Finalissima between Argentina and Italy at Wembley Stadium on June 1, when the South Americans claimed a 3-0 win.

Messi didn’t put his name on the scoresheet but inspired his side’s win and was probably the best player on the pitch.

Donnarumma hugged him during PSG’s first day of training and the video released by the Ligue 1 giants has gone viral on social media.

It sparked comments and jokes about the last meeting between Gigio and Leo, who, according to multiple reports, was among those who wanted Keylor Navas as a regular starter in goal last season.

The goalkeeper’s management at PSG will change next season as new coach Christophe Galtier has claimed that he will pick a starter from day one, which could change during the campaign depending on Keylor and Gigio’s performances.

  1. Man got Messi confused with a bag of cash. Though Messi is like a cash machine on feet so I guess it is also normal he hugged him.

  2. Doesn’t look like Messi’s reciprocated the hug and wants no part of it. Donnarumma just wants to be liked after Messi and Argentina made him and his teammates look like schoolchildren.
