The goalkeeper left boyhood club Milan as a free agent over the summer to join Paris Saint-Germain, having refused a new and lucrative contract to remain with the Rossoneri.

This infuriated Milan supporters and he had asked in interviews over the last few days for there to be no jeers during his Italy performance at San Siro.

The moment he came out onto the pitch for his warm-up with the other Italy goalkeepers in the squad, there were some audible jeers and whistles from the crowd.

However, when the rest of the squad emerged for their part of the warm-up, it was all cheers at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Several people in the stands are wearing Milan jerseys, even though Italy are playing against Spain this evening.

There were also images outside of people with signs showing Donnarumma’s face crossed out by a ‘forbidden’ sign, warning he was ‘not welcome here.’

The arena is only at 50 per cent capacity due to COVID restrictions.

  1. it is clear that milan fans don’t support italy. this is nonsense. it is clear that it affected donurrumma cause he clearly didnt look himself in the 1st half. bunch of disgraceful supporters milan fans are.

  2. A traitor should not come back to san siro, mancini should not have played him.
They give him everything, and he betrayed everyone that belived in him.
    Not a man.

  3. @ serie a LOVER, if you take an action of a smaller group and label everyone, then you are not fair. Not all Milan fans are the same.

  4. Everyone who says ungeateful supporters… how delusional can you be? He left the club for money and now comes back to their stadium. Of course they will not be cheering for him, i wouldnt either. Mancini should have known that and play someone else if the Psychological aspect have such an impact in his head.

  5. @serie a LOVER
If he cant take the pressure of few ppl booing than maybe someone should take his spot.
Booing is nothing new in football. Unless you just started watching football during last 2 years, than maybe you dont know how football with fans in the stadium works.

  6. Still a kid haven’t matured yet 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Didn’t understand anything, wanted to be famous
