Teenage Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma hailed “an important point” against his hometown club Napoli.

The shot-stopper was born in the Naples region and had his first game at the Stadio San Paolo with his family in the stands.

“Playing here was an indescribable feeling. It’s a great stadium and great fans. It was an important match and we were able to get a good result,” he told Mediaset Premium.

“I could’ve done more on the goal, but fortunately we equalised straight away. We came here to play our game, the important thing was not to lose and we picked up an important point for the Champions League race.”

Donnarumma will finally turn 17 years old later this week, on February 25.

“I thank Pepe Reina, I heard his interview before the game and he complimented me. He is a great goalkeeper.”
