Italy international goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been given a two-match Ligue 1 ban for his Paris Saint-Germain red card.

The shot-stopper came flying outside his penalty area in the opening 10 minutes of the game against Le Havre and had been trying to anticipate the opposition striker.

Instead, he got the timing completely wrong and wiped him out in no uncertain terms for an inevitable red card.

The verdict has now come in and the foul warranted a two-match ban rather than just the one.

It means Donnarumma is going to miss the big games against FC Nantes and LOSC.

However, the ban only applies to Ligue 1, so Donnarumma can take the gloves in the final and decisive Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund on December 13.

They are in the same group as Milan, as PSG have seven points, followed by both Newcastle United and the Rossoneri on five.
