Italy international Gianluigi Donnarumma has been crowned Ligue 1 champion with six games left to play, as PSG have won the 2024-25 league title with an unbeaten record in the French top flight.
A 55th-minute strike from Désiré Doué was enough for PSG to claim a 1-0 victory at home against Angers on Saturday afternoon, which secured the club’s fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title, their 11th in 13 seasons.
Luis Enrique’s side have amassed a total of 74 points from their 28 league matches so far this season, with their closest challengers, Monaco, sitting 24 points behind them with a game in hand.

PSG have 23 wins, five draws and zero losses so far in 2024-25, and also boast the best defensive record in the division with 26 conceded: An average of less than one per game.
Donnarumma has played in the majority of PSG’s league matches this season, with a total of 20 goals conceded from 20 appearances. He is also the go-to keeper in the Champions League, with 10 outings from a possible 12.
The 2024-25 Ligue 1 title is Donnarumma’s fourth since leaving Milan. He also has a Coupe De France winners medal from 2023-24 and three Trophée des Champions prizes from his PSG career.

Ligue 1 was very fun to watch, there were like 2 or even 4 clubs to win championship. Back when PSG was still a mediocre club. But now? It’s even worse than Bundesliga !
24 points ahead of second place Monaco. That must be dispiriting for the whole league. And even for PSG – the lack of real competition must be frustrating.
