Milan are not open to accepting the agent’s conditions and have put a three-year, €7.5m-a-year deal on the table.

“You must leave Gigio alone, because he is trying to achieve something very important for Milan and for his career,” Raiola told journalists yesterday.

“The rest will be done secretly, without letting you know anything, it’s like this and it will always be like this.”

The report claims Raiola wants Donnarumma to become the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world after Manchester United’s David De Gea, but negotiations with Milan are difficult with the Rossoneri running out of time.

Including a release clause in Donnarumma’s new contract could be the key to reaching an agreement, but the two parties haven’t discussed this possibility yet.

Donnarumma and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain the only Milan players who can have a salary beyond €4m-a-year.
