After freeing themselves in the early hours of July 21, the pair escaped to a luxury hotel before reporting the incident to the Parisian police.

Speaking to Libero via Calciomercato.com, Donnarumma recounted the horrible experience.

“To find yourself at three in the morning with people in your house all of a sudden, I think it’s the worst feeling you can have.

“I was immobilised and Alessia was forced to hand over everything precious to us. I can’t go into too much detail, there are ongoing investigations and I’m on my way now to the French police to try to reconstruct with them everything that happened.

“This morning, my fiancée and I had to leave the flat to allow the investigations to be carried out, and we temporarily stayed in a hotel.”

The PSG and Italy goalkeeper then underlined how afraid and powerless he felt.

“The fear was so great, but even more so was that something might happen to Alessia. I was powerless, tied down, I couldn’t do anything.

“Then I don’t speak French that well and it was difficult to explain to those people where everything was.

“And it was Alessia, still scared to this day, with them. Really frantic moments of deep terror, especially fear for her. Fear that they might hurt her.”

Donnarumma joined PSG in July 2021 after leaving Milan on a free transfer, penning a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 giants.

Since his arrival, he’s made 72 appearances across all competitions, keeping 23 clean sheets and conceding 75 goals. He has also made 54 caps for the Italian national team.
