Gigio Donnarumma is eager to react after his error against Real Madrid, but admits that the last two days ‘have not been easy.’

The 23-year-old sparked Real Madrid’s comeback at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night, giving the ball away for the Merengues’ equaliser through Karim Benzema.

He was harshly criticised by Italian and French media, with L’Equipe even calling him ‘the undertaker’ of PSG.

The Italy star has now taken to social media to share his thoughts after his terrible night in Madrid.

Buffon defends Donnarumma: ‘There’s one problem…’

“The elimination from the Champions League was a blow. The past two days have not been easy, but it is precisely from these moments of difficulty that we come out stronger,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Now, we must think about the present, to win Ligue 1, giving everything as I have always done for this shirt, for this Club and for our fans. Let’s start again, together! Allez Paris.”

Donnarumma has once again been linked with a move to Juventus, while ex-Bianconeri coach Gigi Buffon defender his compatriot saying that ‘mistakes can happen.’

  1. First he beat england on penalty shotout, then he kicks psg off champions league.

My man has juve dna and doesn’t even know that yet.

  2. It must be said he is slightly prone to error at club level in important games. I remember a coppa Italia final against juve on a rainy day I Rome.. this is a area he needs to improve, yet he is still a sensational GK

  3. Anywhere else on the pitch and that was a clear and blatant foul. Has nothing to blame himself for. Referee and VAR on the night do.

  4. He definitely needs to work on his foot skills and why would you put the ball in front of your own net. I have seen these types of errors when he plays for Italy as well. He is young and has to keep working. there is always room for improvement

  5. Slightly prone to error? More like 2 brain farts every 3 matches. Back in Milan he had the backing of the fans and teammates so those mistakes weren’t as pronounced, but on the big stage he’s going to get murdered by his new team’s fans and the press.

  6. They blame him what about PSG billion dollar payroll with God of soccer and all fake superstars where were they? Defense turn over ball clear 2x and offense disappears I guess this is a winning mentality to give up after a bad goal.

  7. was it a foul yes but like any last man/defender you do NOT play with the ball. that should never happen football 101
