Roma have agreed a deal with Juventus for talented forward Matias Soule and are now working on the final details to complete a transfer.

The Giallorossi have had to fight hard with Leicester City for the 21-year-old Argentinian forward, who impressed on loan with Frosinone last season. The Old Lady wanted to sell the player abroad, but he was insistent on joining Daniele De Rossi’s club.

Roma are in the early stages of a new project under De Rossi and recently announced their new stadium project, looking ambitious and focused under the Friedkins, who are no longer in the running to take over Everton.

Soule deal

Fabrizio Romano reports that Roma have agreed to sign Soule from Juventus, ready to pay a €26m fixed fee with €4m in add-ons, half of which are easily activated and the other half more difficult. A 10% future resale clause will also be attached.

The Argentinian forward’s agents are currently in Rome to define the details of a contract, which has already been verbally agreed. Once this has been completed, his pre-transfer medicals will be scheduled, Gianluca Di Marzio adds.
