According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma today reached a full agreement with Girona to buy Artem Dovbyk for €33m plus bonuses and a 10 per cent cut of the sell-on fee.

The final negotiations were held this evening in a meeting on Spanish soil, where directors Florent Ghisolfi and Lina Souloukou were also present.

They were hoping to fly back with the player this evening, but it seems as if they will have to wait until tomorrow morning to work out the details and sign the contracts.

Dovbyk done deal at last for Roma

However, the main agreement has been reached and it is at a cost of €33m plus bonuses and a 10 per cent cut of the future sale fee, according to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

That is more than Girona had originally been prepared to accept from Atletico Madrid, but that deal collapsed because the Ukraine international had his heart set on the Giallorossi.

The centre-forward turned 27 last month and in the most recent season scored 24 goals with eight assists in 36 LaLiga appearances, the league’s top scorer.
