Done Deal: Paredes to Roma from PSG, Renato Sanches nearly

Roma have agreed the transfer with Paris Saint-Germain for Leandro Paredes at a cost of €4m, while the final details are being whittled down for Renato Sanches too.

The Giallorossi needed to boost their midfield twice, first after failing to secure several other targets this summer, then when Nemanja Matic forced through his €3m including bonuses switch to Stade Rennais.

They turned to PSG and managed to get a deal for Paredes, as Sky Sport Italia, RMC Sport and more are all confident the clubs have shaken hands on the agreement.

It is a permanent transfer for circa €4m and the Argentina international is expected in Rome within 24 hours for his medical.

He spent last season on loan at Juventus with an option to buy, which was not taken up.

That proved a costly situation for Juve, who did not pay the €22.6m option, but did have to pay €2.2m for the loan and an extra €2.5m penalty to PSG for sending him back.

Meanwhile, Renato Sanches is set to join Roma on loan with an option to buy, but while Sky Sport Italia say the Ligue 1 giants are still pushing for that to become an obligation.
