Multiple outlets are reporting that Napoli have reached an agreement with Salernitana for a transfer involving 28-year-old full-back Pasquale Mazzocchi.
According to information from Sky Sport Italia, Calciomercato.com, TMW and more, Aurelio De Laurentiis and his Napoli entourage struck a deal with their Salernitana counterparts on Monday afternoon for a permanent transfer.
Reports indicate that Napoli will have to pay Salernitana a fee in the region of €3m, although Calciomercato detail that the eventual sum could be between €2m and €3m.
The Partenopei are reportedly prepared to hand over a three-and-a-half year contract to the 28-year-old Mazzocchi, who is expected to come in as an alternative option for captain and current right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
Mazzocchi’s deal with Napoli will tie him to the Stadio Maradona until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Though the details of the operation have now been defined, Napoli still need to make Mazzocchi’s deal official, which could happen in the coming days according to reports from TMW. A medical is expected to be completed on Wednesday.
In terms of Napoli’s outgoings, 23-year-old right-back Alessandro Zanoli is expected to join Genoa on loan.
